Terms of Participation for Events

§ 1 General Provisions

Falk Engelmann Unternehmensberatung (hereinafter "Provider") provides training and continuing education services under the brand vorfeld.studio exclusively on the basis of the following general terms and conditions. Deviations require express written confirmation by the Provider.

These terms apply to public workshops and seminars. They do not apply to in-house events, project formats, coaching, or consulting services; separate agreements are made for these.

§ 2 Registration

Registration for events is processed in the order received. The number of participants is limited. By registering, the participant agrees to these terms of participation and the Privacy Policy.

The personal data collected during registration (name, email, and where applicable phone and organization) is used exclusively for the organization and execution of the event and is stored electronically. Further information can be found in our Privacy Policy.

§ 3 Fees

The prices current at the time of registration apply. All prices are exclusive of the applicable value-added tax, unless otherwise stated.

Payment is due no later than the first day of the event, unless a different arrangement has been made. Price changes are reserved. In the event of late payment, the statutory provisions apply.

§ 4 Cancellation and Right of Withdrawal

Cancellation by the Participant

• Up to 30 business days before the event: Free cancellation or free rebooking to another date.
• After the 30-day deadline: Rebooking is possible for a fee of 10% of the event price.
• No-show or short-notice cancellation: The full participation fee is due.

Naming a substitute participant is possible at any time free of charge.

Cancellation by the Provider

The Provider reserves the right to cancel events up to 15 business days before the start for operational, technical, or organizational reasons, or in the event of insufficient registrations. In such cases, fees already paid will be refunded in full. No further claims exist.

§ 5 Changes to the Event

The Provider reserves the right to change dates, venues, and speakers as needed. Participants will be informed of such changes in a timely manner.

§ 6 Scope of Services

The nature, duration, objectives, content, and prerequisites of the events are described in the respective event description on the website.

The event price includes participation, event materials, and where applicable access to digital resources. Travel and accommodation costs are not included, unless expressly stated otherwise.

§ 7 Certificates

Certificates of participation will be issued upon request, provided the participant has attended the entire event.

§ 8 Copyright

The materials and documents provided in connection with the events are protected by copyright. Participants are granted a personal, non-transferable right of use.

Reproduction, distribution, or making publicly available of the materials – in whole or in part – requires the prior written consent of the Provider.

Recording events with electronic devices (audio, video, photo) is not permitted without express authorization.

§ 9 Liability

The Provider is liable for damages only in cases of intent or gross negligence. Liability for slight negligence is excluded, unless essential contractual obligations are breached. In such cases, liability is limited to the foreseeable, contract-typical damage.

In the event of cancellation due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemic, official orders), compensation is limited to the participation fee already paid.

The above limitations of liability do not apply to damages arising from injury to life, body, or health.

§ 10 Final Provisions

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin, insofar as the participant is a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law.

Should individual provisions of these terms of participation be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions. In place of the invalid provision, a regulation shall apply that most closely achieves the economic purpose of the invalid provision.

The Provider reserves the right to amend these terms of participation at any time. For events already booked, the terms valid at the time of registration apply.
